Will Tim Russert try to rehabilitate Bush like he did Bill Bennett?
When Russsert brought Bennett on his hourlong CNBC interview show last fall, it was to signal that Bill Bennett was now "rehabilitated" and ready to resume his position as the GOP national scold.

With Russert's past history interviewing Dubya in the govenor's quarters in Austin during the 2000 election, don't count on Russert asking any of the tough questions nor engaging in any followup of unanswered questions.

The wimp ass media only get tough with Democrats, and Russert is the absolute worse in this regard. They are intimidated by, and for the most part, salute the GOP power structure.

Another sign of the rot in our media, who have failed us miserably--starting in the 2000 campaign and continuing in the cheerleading of our nation to an elective and unnecessary war in Iraq.

If Russert or Bush say anything today which makes Bush look bad, it will be edited-out before it airs tomorrow.

Howard Dean went on live.

Bush gets flattering editing of a pre-taped show.

Prediction: Russert asks about AWOL, Bush says that he served in the National Guard, made up for any missed-time, and was honorably discharged, Russert says ok.

Afterwards, the pundits declare that Bush has answered the AWOL question and the subject should never be raised, again.

9. AWOL says honorably discharged/served time/made up drills-Tim says 6 mon?
Nope - Tim does not follow up - because this is cover-up

Last I looked you missed a drill you could indeed make it up - but that was "A" drill. Not 6 months - not a year.

So Tim will note that those Dems are into "presidential character assassination" and that the "honorably discharged" proves that there is no ambiguity about Bush's time in the Guard, and then ask Bush about what he learned by serving in that dangerous area of the Guard - fighter jets.

Bush can not say he showed up for all his assigned duties, so he can not release the records - so Tim will not ask him to do so (hell - pay stubs and w-2's would prove attenence).

So the question "Did Dad obtain Guard cooperation in giving you an honorable discharge, the way he obtained for you your slot in the Guard to begin with?" will not be asked.

Heck - the simple "You say that you made up for the time you missed, doesn't that mean you were absent, and after enough times absent are you not AWOL?" will not be asked in the latest Tim Russert/GE/NBC cover-up for the GOP.

5. Yes. The idea of one war after another made not appeal to us, but
Yes. The idea of one war after another made not appeal to us, but to GE that is a profitable plan.

GE knows the Bush is more likely to invade Syria or Cuba or Iran than the Democratic nominee.

8. Russert was blatantly disrespectful to Tom Daschel and Hillary Clinton in
past interviews. We'll see how the "Cheshire Cat" handles Chimpy, knowing that the whole world is watching.

10. Russert's a pussy
...and so is the National media overall. They are a disgrace to thier profession as the keepers of the truth and the toast of beltway coctail parties.

Russert was chosen by these secrtive and anal Whitehouse becuase of their impotance. If there as any chance of a disagreeable comment not first okayed by team Shrub the administration would just keep to policy, ignore the media.

It'll be a love fest....

11. Russert = MediaWhore Extraordinaire.
Expect nothing but massive nerf ball lobs, assistance in covering up policy gaffes of the millenium, fawnish devotion to PNAC and SmirkCo.

Bring lots of extra barf bags. You're gonna need them

12. Russert will try to rehabilitate him alright.
But * is so stupid that he'll self-destruct anyway. Any time that moron doesn't have his teleprompter and a pre-canned speech handy he does something incredibly dumb. Unless Russert talks the entire hour, *'s mouth will at some point land firmly in his drooling mouth.

13. Didn't you hear?
MTP is being TAPED today and aired tomorrow.

Plenty of time to do re-takes, focus groups on sound bytes, edit for "clarity", overdub fucked up pronunciation of ordinary words, etc.

This is NOT MTP. This is propaganda 101

15. Didn't Russert wear a Bush pin underneath his suit lapel during the
2000 campaign? I believe that I read he would flash the
pin at times and smile. He's such a ho.
