Washington Times Digs Up Old * Girlfriend To Defend His Guard Duty !!!
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 06:19 PM by WillyT
Is this like a reverse bimbo eruption, or what???

<snip>

But further confirmation was supplied yesterday by a woman who dated the young George W. Bush in 1972 who says she distinctly remembers the young pilot visiting Montgomery that year to fulfill his Air National Guard commitment.

Emily Marks Curtis told The Times that she and Mr. Bush met in the summer of 1972 when he went to Montgomery from Texas to work in the U.S. Senate campaign of Winton Blount, a Bush family friend. She said the two became good friends.

And...

She said that he rented an apartment for a two-week stay and that she met him for dinner several times.

"I didn't see him go to work. I didn't see him come home from work," she said. "He told me that was why he was in Montgomery. There is no other reason why he would come back to Montgomery."

7. No, that one is safely tucked away in "protective custody"
I'd always heard how sometimes FBI agents were tagged to marry dangerous witnesses to keep an eye on them.

And that's where Bush's little Underage Abortion Queen is right now. Married to an FBI agent (who undoubtedly hits her and sleeps around to relieve the boredom of his "assignment").

11. No, the one with the drugs...
Are they sure she really didn’t say "He called to tell me he was coming back to finish up his National Guard duty. I can say categorically he was there, and that's why he came back. He told me he had some great shit; hash, speed, LSD; and we could get high and screw our brains out! To hell with that medical exam crap."

Hmmmm. So lemme see... "I didn't see him go to work. I didn't see him come home from work," she said. "He told me that was why he was in Montgomery. There is no other reason why he would come back to Montgomery." Really?

This is what they come up with? And McClellan bitches because some were making "…outrageous, baseless, accusations"?

15. When o' When ...

When exactly will the press blow the lid off the Washington Times. Is it some kind of honor code that they don't report on each other.

There are a LOT of southern evangelical Republicans who consider "The Washington Times" as good Republican, Christian reporting. What would they say if they knew of the unholy alliance between the Christian Reich and Reverend Moon.

5. There's probably a smoking gun in the Houston Society Pages
If * attended any kind of function (cotillion, symphony opening, etc.) during the time he was supposed to be logging TANG hours, it's probably recorded for posterity in the Society Pages of the newspapers. One could also check Maine and DC papers for such snippets of society news, too.

16. A son of a Congressman ..
A Congressman's son (and Senator's grandson) would definitely be noticed.

It's VERY strange because Bush's CO would be made VERY WELL AWARE who he was dealing with. His CO would remember having the son of a Congressman in his unit. It's already plainfully obvious that he got special treatment. Why would that treatment be with-held while he was stationed in Alabama???

13. Pickles was thirty when she married the idiot
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 06:13 PM by Marianne
well on her way toward spinsterhood. Once she married him and perceived that she married into a "entrenched" and very rich, family name, she quit doing anything on her own.

She was content to let that family run and rule her.

Today we see the result.

Laura is a rictus smiling, robot.

She is a woman who is subjugated and who has not developed beyond her youth. She does not seem to care.

And who would buck all that comfort and money?

She has had some potential, but it has been stolen from her, willingly I might add. She gave it up because, I think, she is basically lazy and willing to latch on to being the adored princess , well provided for, as long as she does her "duty" and provides some "heirs" only she really fails in that one also

-her "heirs" were females, not aggresive males, and rather dumb ones at that.

Bush does not have a "son" a male, a strong heir and I think he hold that in contempt with her as the object of that contempt. That is why he nicknamed her "pickles" instead of " honey" or "dear" or any other loving nickname.

"Pickles" is not a complimentary nickname. It fits, but her own husband should not be the one to bring that one to the forefront.

Still NOBODY in Alabama can confirm he was ther for any length of time, MUCH LESS anybody who actually might have worked with him in the guard!

19. DESPERATION -- you have an ugly face
She remembers him going to Montgomery? Big deal. He was supposed to be going to work on a Senate Campaign (undoubtedly for some rabid repub racist) and was going to do his guard duty there (does any other military member get to dictate when they go?).

That proves nothing!! Unless she will testify that they had sex on base while he was on duty.

Right after that 8-ball . . .

26. Just found this...
This was brought up in 2000

http://victorian.fortunecity.com/brambles/499/Bush/Heldt071300/heldt071300.html

<snip>

Isikoff points to an old girlfriend of Bush's in Alabama, Emily Marks, as a quasi alibi. Isikoff states that she can vouch for GW's time in Alabama, because she allegedly recalls Bush saying that he would have to come back to Alabama to make up some reserve requirements.

But Emily Marks cannot substantiate Bush's claim, as his spokesman Dan Bartlett claims. In fact, the best Emily can do is "although I never actually drove him to Guard duty, he told me that he went..."

George W's old girlfriend claims that Bush told her he had to go back to Montgomery after the election to make up some reserve duty. This substantiates the claims of Turnipseed and his administrations officer that Bush had not been reporting for duty.

29. thanks so much for that! I was hoping somebody would find that
I spoke with John McCain on Talk of the Nation during the summer of 2004. I asked him how he could support, as a POW from the Vietnam war, a person who'd missed duty while serving in an outfit he'd joined specifically to get out of having to go where McCain did.

he USED this exact story about the girlfriend who corroborated his story.

I used the info above to "correct" McCain, saying that she only said he'd "told her" that he'd been to/was going to National Guard duty.

that brought him up short, and he could only say that he believed dumbo's explanation, and that he did his duty.

I told him then that it was sad that he was supporting an "empty suit" as the standard-bearer of his party.

that was FUN!

must admit that McCain was very polite--actually charming

and I don't care for him at all....at ALL

28. Wow. Now, I know many here are not Kerry supporters
But, Kerry has produced REAL VETERANS to support him.

Example: he saved this guys life!

Kerry saved life of Oregon man

EUGENE (AP) - When Florence resident Jim Rassmann offered to volunteer for the John Kerry presidential campaign he was thinking along the lines of answering phones and licking envelopes.
The retired sheriff's deputy is a political junkie, but hardly a zealot. And he's a registered Republican.

But Kerry's campaign strategists whisked him straight to Iowa for a tearful public reunion with the senator, who almost 35 years ago dragged him out of a river in Vietnam in a hail of enemy gunfire.

<snip>

Rassmann said he will change party affiliations when he gets back to Oregon so that he can vote for Kerry in the May primary.

This is the best the Moonies can come up with? Some old "date"?
