We have been vindicated.
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 05:20 AM by SoCalDem
Just look at what is starting to evolve...

We have been typing into the ether for almost 4 years about the AWOl issue....

We have been convinced of the stench of the Harken Oil deals

We were among the first to point out that lots of people "knew" about the possibility of flying planes into buildings..

We have "always" known what a liar * is/was/always will be.

We have written letters to the editor..letters to newspeople..letters to networks..

It loooks like it is finally going to "pay off"..

What is most sad is that catching that bastard red-handed will never bring back those 500+ soldiers and the uncounted thousands of people whose only sin was to be in Iraq..

I wonder if the press will start to take a closer look at other things that really need a good shaking out..

like:

How our voting system really works (or doesn't).. Take a look at Georgia for starters.. and do it with an open mind.. We have done your research.. Just put the pieces together in almost any configuration, and the pieces still fit.:(

Keep digging into the Halliburton/KBR/Enron/Anderson/Choicepoint stories... Believe me.. there is definitely a "there" there..

Anyone ever follow up on the put orders on airline stocks the day before 9/11? Or why FEMA was in NYC en masse on 9/10..

How about the energy meetings?? They are trying to run out the clock..Why would they be doing that?? They have plenty to hide..

We all know that the press does not want to "go back" to Florida's botched election, but it is the original "crime scene"..

In fact ALL the "problems" we currently have, can be followed like breadcrumbs ...to Forida..

Sure.. some people can dismiss our "musings" as conspiracy talk, BUT conspiracies DO exist, and the Bush administration is probably the biggest conspiracy factory that ever was..

The documents that have all of a sudden "appeared" are documents that we have been examining for 3 1/2 years..

We knew the "war" in Iraq was phony..from DAY ONE.. How come the press did not??

8. That is indeed a cool teeshirt..
I have always trusted Feingold.. He and Wellstone were the ones who seemed to be in "our corner"..

It's probably a copyrighted image, but that would be a cool shirt with "The New & Improved Democrats" on the front :)

3. The Corporate Media...........
isn't interested in the truth. They're interested in profits. Investigative journalism is a thing of the past. Staffs have been cut to the bare bones and the likelihood of any altruistic journalist taking a chance on actual reporting is sadly in the past.
These days you practically have to bludgeon the press with a story in order for them to do a little footwork and investigate stories.
They're not totally to blame. Editors and owners of these media conglomerates feel that money is wasted on actual reporting and much more money can be made running feel good human interest stories and advertisements for hearing aids and mattresses.
Oh for the days when reporters had fire in their bellies, when their name on a byline on page one above the fold meant everything.
They're so concerned about not getting 'downsized' by the greedy owners of these fishwraps to get out on the streets and look for news anymore.
And these owners want the power to monopolize even more of the market?
One of these days a reporter is going to reverse this trend, a reporter is going to regain his/her conscience and actually do what he/she was trained to do. Please don't let it be too late.

9. and 2 days after the press nearly lynches McClellan on the AWOL thing...
here's a "story" about John Kerry's "infidelity"

It's time for Dems to STAND UP and PUSH this AWOL story. It's obviously a knife wound....TWIST IT!
