CNN Headline news ticker "War Spending Boosts Q2 Revenues"
My wife had CNN on last night around 6pm pacific. I was laughing my ass off watching the ticker. The little blurbs come on for about 5 seconds, then change out in a long cycle, right? Usually, you need to watch for a good while before it starts to repeat itself. For at least an HOUR, every other 'news tidbit' was "WAR SPENDING BOOSTS Q2 revenues". It was as if a back room 'subversive' really wanted the public to know this. Or it could have been just a big Fup. Regardless, it was remarkable.

Sorry, no link on this one.

2. I saw this, too!!!
I was checking out Rudi Bakhtiar (I'm a degenerate, I know but my god she's gorgeous!), and every other story that came up was that same one!!!

Kinda good that it happened in the sense that it shows any uptick in GDP was due to the war. Anyone with sense knows Bush himself sure isn't doing anything to improve it!!!!

3. Someone posted that 1.2% of the 2.4% was due to military spending ?
Is that true?

6. More like 1.7%
In other words, over 70% of the GDP 'increase' comes from Federal Defense spending.

4. What are the benefits?
I can see how military spending could increase the "economy" as a whole, but isn't all of that deficit spending that will haunt us forever? How much does that 2 percent reach anyone besides Halliburton, etc?
