With the advent of Nader & Gay Marriage, the AWOL story is officially dead.

Rove needed to unite Americans, to give them another target... and nothing brings together people more than HATE. Now he's got his wish.

He's united Democrats against Nader, and united Republicans against Gay Marriage. the AWOL story is no longer page 1 news. Or page 2, 3, 46, etc. Newspapers, TV Channels, DU, etc

But then, we had our day in the sun, right? Did we accomplish all our goals? We were never gonna get impeachment out of an accusation of desertion. The best we could hope for get is embarassing Bush, both on his claims as a 'War President', and getting the Nation to compare him to Kerry, 'War Hero'.

We succeeded, didn't we? Our best hopes were fulfilled, right? The AWOL story will NEVER return to page 1 of anything for the rest of this election. I'll never stop reminding people, but as far as the media's concerned, it's old news. Dead.
