Get Over the Slipup on Abortion By Clark on "Crossfire"
He made a mistake. Get over it. He's clearly pro-choice.

We're too stupid to "get over it." Maybe you need to be posting somewhere else?

3. Why are people making such a big deal over it?

12. Well...
Maybe. There seemed to be a few people incensed over his slipup on another thread, so I decided to make this one.

5. He made a verbal mistake
not an issue mistake. How often do you hear anyone say "pro abortion rights" just to use the word abortion makes up for the the slip of the tongue. Maybe Get over it is not the best phrase but can we stop making a mountain out of a mole hill? It was a verbal mistake that he quickly corrected, if this is the best that you can get him for then he is a shoe in.

9. I ALWAYS have to think very, very carefully before I say.....
pro-life
pro-choice
anti-choice

choice, life, anti, pro.....all the same words meaning two very different things depending on how they are put together. And sometimes I get wrong. A LOT of people get it wrong. I have heard a million times: I am pro-life.....I mean, uh...anti-life...uh.....I mean, pro-CHOICE!

I hope that's what happened on that program.....and it sound like that's what it was.

6. What happened?
I'm sorry, I really wanted to see the Clark interview, but I had company over. What is the flap over Clark's abortion stance? I really like him and he's one of the three people who've expressed a genuine interest in the race (along with Kerry or Graham) that I really like. I also put him in my top three VP nominees (along with Graham or Landrieu.)

This is the problem with having so many different threads on one subject.

11. Maybe Clark should have...
're-focussed' the question and suggested that the State or the President or anyone has the right to interfere with a womans' right to consult a Doctor on any procedure they might discuss...privately and not for the scruntiny of anyone.
Maybe Clark and a few fence-sitters should come clean on the question of Freedom...and accept the responsilities of an egalitarian society, regardless of whether THEY agree with the decisions that their fellow citizens and taxpayers MAKE.

14. I taped the show and rewatched it last night... Clark did
a very good job. Novakula did try to trip him up on the partial-birth abortion issue during the rapid fire segment. Clark rightly avoided giving a yes or no answer. Partial birth abortion requires a nuanced response.

15. A bit of advice...
- Because of the 2000 coup...many of us resent being told to 'get over' anything. Not only that...it's an immature way to present an argument.

- That said...I wouldn't vote for Clark on a bet. Why? Because he's a warmonger and is too coy when it comes to boldly stating his political affiliation.

P.S. I've long suspected you were losing it. Now I'm convinced.

16. that's three threads that I know of
in less than a day you have started about Clark. I think someone who gobbles up so much maybe you could send a few $$ to DU?? I mean sure promoting your candidate (even if he's not a declared canddiate, much less a declared Dem) is the thing to do but, do ya have to be a cheapskate about it?
