1. If a deal has been made
it's a high-risk enterprise. Musharraf is in a difficult balancing act between the US and the fundamentalist base of the country. It won't take much to tip the country over....and then...there will be consequences.

I'd like to think that my government has accounted for all the risks and made contingency plans but I don't have any faith that Bush and company have thought out these risky policies beyond the next election.

This is dangerous.

2. Even graver a fear
is that they HAVE calculated the risks and consequences quite deliberately.

3. This Is a Fucking Nightmare. This Admin. Is Clinically Insane.
They define psychopath. The ultimate in selfish, base motives.

Paks nukes are more dangerous than one man, but this admin. makes a political calculation and puts politics above our safety.

It's more important for them to get Bin Laden so they can parade him around before the election than it is to stop nuclear proliferation.

There are no words to describe how outraged I am over this.

4. This is the deal
Bush is desparate to find and capture Bin Laden before November and he will risk the security of this nation and others to do so.... Seymour Hersch lays compelling evidence to that point....

7. To say Bushco is a menace to the world is no hyperbole
WE CAN'T WAIT FOR ELECTIONS.

WE NEED HIM OUT NOW.

The inauguration isn't until JANUARY folks!!!!!

How much damage is Bushco gonna do before then?

Especially if he's a lame duck???

5. Isn't it nice...
how much forewarning the Bush crime family has given Osama before searching in the Hindu Kush area? Do you suppose Osama will stay put and play hide and seek with any troops we may send there? :eyes:

6. link to the Hersh New Yorker article
article

does this sound promising?
Now, with Musharraf’s agreement, the Administration has authorized a major spring offensive that will involve the movement of thousands of American troops.

more dead Americans (and civilians) to advance the bush occupation of DC...

nothing good will come from this and the very public capture of bin Laden will only escalate things.

10. Thanks for the link. What a lose/lose situation.
My worry is that just as attacking Iraq allowed Al Qaeda to regroup, attacking Pakistan will divert resources from Iraq, guaranteeing a civil war with U.S. troops caught in the middle. Not to mention the whole nuclear thing.
