Cheney Says He Supports Gay-Marriage Ban

<snip>Cheney's popularity with the public has dropped in recent weeks, according to the National Annenberg Election Survey. In October, 43 percent of the public had a favorable view and 26 percent had an unfavorable view. In the last two weeks of February, people were about evenly split, with 33 percent favorable and 36 percent unfavorable.

The vice president's popularity declined with most groups, with the biggest drop among Republicans. Seventy-four percent of Republicans saw him favorably in October and 58 percent viewed him that way in late February. Six in 10 in late February said Bush should keep Cheney as his running mate, while a quarter said Bush should pick someone else.

The Annenberg survey in late February of 2,700 people has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2 percentage points

1. Well, with moronic statements like:
"If the Democratic policies had been pursued over the last two or three years, the kind of tax increases that both Kerry and Edwards have talked about, we would not have had the kind of job growth that we've had," Cheney said.

Job growth?!?!?! Even Pukes reading this will stop and wonder about Cheney's mental health.

11. Let's Shut This Lie Up!!!
First, it's not a "tax increase"...it's restoring the tax structure back to where it was set in 1986.

Next, with this regime's reckless spending, a tax hike is inevitable since this government is spending way beyond the revenues its bringing in and it's just a matter of time the shortfalls will require either a hike or massive cutbacks on services. This will especially be the case if interest rates rise...as many economists predict after the elections.

Remember, in Bizzaro world, up is down, good is bad...outsourcing helps the economy, terror makes us safer, free speech endangers our nation.

I have not heard a Democratic candidate say they'd favor a tax hike...ala Mondale in '84 (and he based his need...that ended up buried and paid for by the lower & middle classes in '86...on defecit spending on a far smaller scale than what's going on to fuel the corporate/welfare system today)...just to repeal a tax cut that only benefits the rich.

A lot of this scare tactic is to keep those GOOPers who didn't get a tax cut in line. The wink and nod here is that if you didn't get that cut, you are still not worthy and have to work harder to please the masters.

Again, no Democratic candidate has ever proposed an increase in Federal taxes...just a restoration to where things were...and still are scheduled to return in 2011. Why not call that a Repugnican tax hke to come????

2. The man has NO endearing qualities.....
he is cold as ice. He has the same appealing
qualities that a snake would....in fact some
snakes appear to be more cuddly than Cheney.
