Man loves Fox News, buys billboards thanking God for it
This will make you lose your dinner.............

August 2, 2003 2:19 PM
Tunnel Hill, Georgia-AP -- He may be Fox News Channel's biggest fan.

Retired ad salesman Bob Spratlin has forked over a few thousand dollars in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, to buy a billboard that says, "THANK GOD FOR THE FOX NEWS CHANNEL."

Another billboard is to go up in northwest Georgia in a nearby town later this year, and Spratlin envisions more.

The 73-year-old says he's been waiting practically his whole life for a news channel like Fox. He watches at least an hour a day and heaps praise on the channel's approach, which he says gets to the meat of stories and is fair and balanced

"He watches at least an hour a day"

And he's so gung-ho that's he's buying billboard space?????????

Man, if I were this guy's relatives, I'd be contesting THAT will.

Any idea just which hour he watches......Bill "Shut Up" O'Rielly, Sean "I couln't find my ass with a hunting dog and a mirror" Hannity, Shep "I'm so good looking" Smith, or I bet he just like to watch the "newsbabes"!!!!!!

In the famous words of Bugs Bunny....."What a maroon"!!!!!!

5. I'm going to be sick...
:puke:

Here's an idea...DU'ers in Georgia...try and find out where these billboards are going to go up and have someone from Take Back The Media put something up near those billboards denouncing Fox News...

I would gladly donate some cash to that...!

10. As if I needed more proof
that the world is unfair. I struggle to make ends meet, while this guy can blow his money on billboards (that thank FOXNEWS of all things!).

12. a few gallons of gasoline and a match...
...would definitely beautify the country-side in Tunnel Hill, IMO. Ed Abbey had that one dialed!

13. Homemade Billboard
My Wife and I were driving to St. Augustine, FL when we saw a Billboard that said, "Thank God For President Bush And Gov Jeb Bush." This wasn't a regular billboard this was homemade and in someone's backyard. The Billboard was facing I-95. Now that is sick.
