Newest Fox poll shows Nader having no effect on race
http://www.pollingreport.com/wh04gen.htm

It's 44-44 without Nader and 45-45 with him. And he gets just 2 percent.

BTW, Bush's approval rating is still 48 percent, and his disapproval rose to 44 percent.

And the previous Fox poll had Nader with 4 percent.

7. The 6% doesn't really matter
Since Nader isn't going to get on the ballot in very many states most of those 6% will never get a chance to vote for him.

2. The Nader Non-Effect
Progressives are too smart to make the same mistake twice. He will be a non-issue.

BUSH is going DOWN.

3. I don't trust FOX
If FOX "News" says so it must be true.

I'll wait for more polls from credible sources.

6. That's why I found it interesting
a few weeks ago, when their poll showed Nader getting 4 percent, they made a big deal about it. I just think it's ironic that their next poll shows him at half that.

8. Quit Watching FOX ...... Damit
Edited on Fri Mar-05-04 07:40 PM by ThomWV
Look, get this in your head. You watch FOX and their ratings are increased, and their advertising revnue is increased. Just don't turn them on. All you are doing is supporting them, no more and no less. It is not a valid excuse to say that you are just keeping an eye on the enemy.

And while I'm at it don't log on to their god damned web site either. You do and their hit count just goes up.

11. The day Nader gets 6%...
...is the day Bush tells us absolutely everything he knows about 9/11. And the day the Mad Hatter comes for tea.

He got less than 3% last time. The vast majority of people who voted for him last time are through with him. Hell, I wouldn't even vote for him again and I'm in California.

Beware the forces that try to paint Nader's influence as larger than it is.

14. How about 4%
He'll get above 2% and as high as 4% if people vote as badly as they drive...well.

13. Even if it is FAUX, it kinda makes sense.....
Frankly, I don't expect Nader to be a major factor this year like he was in 2000. I predict that most of the votes he gets this year will come from people who would never vote Democrat under any circumstances anyway.

I voted for Nader in 2000 knowing that my state's electoral votes would go to Gore anyway. This year, even if my state goes overwhelmingly Democrat again, I still won't vote for Nader, purely out of principle. Kerry's not my ideal candidate, but I absolutely loathe Bush so much that even if I was in a solidly safe pro-Bush state where it would be safe to vote for Nader, I'd still vote for Kerry purely to make a statement against Bush.

15. Nader at 6%...
simply does not make ANY sense whatsoever. It's almost as though they chose a freakin college town as one area to poll (leaning towards Kerry, but with high support for Nader), a rural Bush leaning area, and a suburb which is split.

I have to say I think FOX is closer to reality on this poll than that AP poll. The nation is most likely split 50-50 at the moment, with a slight edge for Kerry in the popular vote. The EC is a toss-up. We should keep it at that and focus on those states Kerry needs to win.

I feel like I need an appointment with a shrink or something considering I just said FOX is close to reality.
