...Think of the backlash and tumult raised by a few seconds of footage in the latest Shrub ad. Surely, its not what they anticipated. They will want to tone down the obviously exploitative, but they can't.

The die are cast. The GOP Convention is already set for NYC, already set for the week before the 9/11 anniversary. They can't change it. With the memory of this last debacle in the public consciousness, will it taint any viewing of the future proceedings, their place and timing? Will it open eyes, or make the public more sensitive to this?

How severely does this also handicap their ability to respond to any protests during that week? Will any jingoistic response be met by some quasi-Newtonian reaction? They might be between a rock and a hard place on this one.

2. It just emphasizes the ignorance of the repugs
I knew that * was going to try to exploit September 11, 2001 for political gain when they announced the dates/location of the RNC. I also knew it would blow up in his face.

The asshole doesn't realize that this attack showed the WEAKNESS of the administration. I can't figure out how someone can turn that into STRENGTH.

Clinton had to face an attack on the WTC, and the perpetrator is now serving LIFE.

Clinton warned the incoming administration about the growing dangers of terrorism, and what did * do? He ignored it.

Now he tries to gain mileage off of the backs of dead innocents.

How could he NOT know this would backfire??

The adults are DEFINITELY NOT in charge.
