I just donated $50 to MoveOn, here's why...
I just read something over at Democrats.com about the RNC sending out letters to television stations demanding that they stop running the MoveOn ads because they are in violation of soft-money laws or some such nonsense. I really blew my stack when I read that. Those people have NO shame and NO scruples at all. Advertising is almost the ONLY access we have to the mainstream electronic broadcast media as it is, and now THOSE A**HOLES ARE TRYING TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US TOO. So I immediately went to MoveOn.org and made a $50 donation (a lot of money for me), because I want them to KEEP THOSE TERRIFIC ADS COMING. I've been hearing some of them on radio too. In the past few days I've heard the "In My Country" one and the race-car one. On TV I've been seeing the "Child's Pay" one and the polygraph one. I keep hoping to hear the one that came in No. 2 in their recent contest, which was my favorite one. For as long as I keep hearing those ads on TV and radio, I will keep making the $50 donations to them at least monthly.

Ron

2. What is the polygraph one?
The only one I've seen so far is the guy coming home late at night after a hard days work. Saying that it's hard enough making ends meet and now they want to take away my overtime.

3. Agree withyou: Which Moveon ad was the #2?
I don't think the Repugs have a leg to stand on legally. The question is whether they can bully tv media into voluntarily not running them.

Unfortunately, the Moveon ads are only being shown on cable news, as far as I can tell. While it may be more expensive, I'd sure like to see them shown at least occasionally on network, since many like me, don't have access to CNN.
