Hey, there is a karma after all!!!
Was discussing the outcome of several individuals with another ABB'ite and this person mentioned

"...how ironic it is that Reagan has alzheimers when he is the one that closed the hospitals for the mentally ..Ashcroft has stones in his pancreas which are probably made from all the bile and corruption in his words and actions...And, Cheney has the heart problems because he is heartless....Dubya (and now his daughters - and his niece) had the problems with drugs and alcohol because Bush Sr. brought the drugs into east Los Angeles. I'm just waiting to see how Bush Sr. will get his....

I was thinking after Ashcroft had this excruciating pain, that women who've given birth say this kind of pain is even worse, that maybe he'll have an effing clue. But my friend's revelations make more sense...

2. Bush Sr. looked like death itself a whiles back

it seemed really appropriate, like the ugliness had caught up with him.

3. Poppy and Babs both have the thyroid disorder Graves' disease

An autoimmune disease! "A wide range of symptoms from anxiety and restlessness to insomnia and weight loss. In addition, the eyeballs may begin to protrude, causing irritation and tearing."

So if he isn't sleeping, it's not because of all the civilian corpses in Nicaragua.

The pair also have hip replacements (Poppy got his right after returning from a visit to Spain with Schwarzkopf and Miami's mayor during the 2000 recount, hot in the wake of "misplaced" mailbags of Florida absentee ballots "discovered" on Persian Gulf vessels).

4. Don't speak so smugly about karma...

Comedian Bill Hicks died of pancreatic cancer--I'm sure there were those who considered him a foul-mouthed leftist.

In the last few years, I've had close friends die from lung cancer, brain cancer & unsuspected heart defects. I wouldn't shed a tear for Ashcroft, but good people die dreadful deaths, much too soon.

You've apparently led a very sheltered life.

5. I don't know about karma ...
... I mean I know all about it, but my point, after having read this post is this: You've just described the Bush Administration in terms of the Land of Oz. Bush is the scarecrow, Rumsfeld is the lion, and Cheney is the tin man. Tony Blair is Toto, and Ann Coulter is the Wicked Witch of the West. We who simply want answers and semblance are portrayed by Dorothy.

May we all land our house after the storm on George Bush's striped socks.

May Auntie Em (maternal comfort) be there for us after it's all over.

6. This sounds like Rosie when she said "liars get cancer" to
to her breast cancer surviving employee.

This whole thought process is disgusting. Do people get AIDS as punishment? How about African-Americans with sickle cell anemia? Or parents that lose infants to SIDS, is that pay back? Christopher Reeves earned paraplegia? How about the kids who have lost limbs to years ago abandoned land mines?

Sick.

7. yea.. someone getting old and sick
it only happens to bad people.. Its not like Reagan and Ashcroft aren't getting the best medical care possible. Everyone gets old and dies, scrapping for a sense of justice out of it is futile and fairly pathetic.

11. Life is not fair.

Don't expect karma to balance things out. The only time people "get what's coming to them" is when a human being goes out of their way to deliver it.

I really think ideas like "karma", "hell", "heaven", and all the rest are just easy ways for victimized people to rationalize their suffering.
