I was thinking that the cover of "Had Enough?" Carville's recent book for fighting the right, which has him pictured with a black eye and multiple cuts, could also be a "state of the union" about their marriage. i dunno. Seriously, maybe they both get off on it, the conflict, I mean.

It is difficult to fake smiles all day, looking directly into the eyes of the people you break bread with, and lie through your teeth just for a paycheck. Matalin looks more distressed than she usually does, and I think the lying for the admin has taken its toll. Look at bush, you can tell all of the lying is taking its toll with him as well; the difference being, he believes his own lies, so the effects a re somewhat slower...but his conscience, (the little there is), is tripping him up.
