Is it remotely POSSIBLE that Nader could help us?

*ducks dishes and sharp objects*

No, think about it. This is a possibility. During the primaries, we had candidates from every walk of life bashing Bush and dominating coverage. This helped us greatly. So what of this scenario?

1) The way Nader is polling now, he'll be allowed into debates.
2) In debates, he'll bash Bush
3) On election day, he won't actually be on any ballots...people will vote Dem.

This sounds like more of a Perot effect to me, having two people debate against the sitting President.

Then again, there is the possibility that Nader is just an uncontrollable loose cannon bent on destroying the universe with his magic eye-beams. What say you DU?

1. Like he helped us last time around?

I don't think we want him in the debates - I want to see a one-on-one between Kerry and bush. bush wouldn't be the ONLY one that nader would be bashing. He's already making THAT clear as a bell.

nader could do us a favor by packing his clothes and his ego into a suitcase and flying off to Mars right now. THAT might be helpful...

edited for clarity and to add that I'm running to look for my dishes and sharp objects right now...

2. He could if he was hands off with Kerry.
If he didn't point at Kerry at all then maybe. If he ran the no difference line he wouldn't.

3. If he were hands-off with Kerry..
and if he agreed to stay out of crucial swing states, I'd be tempted to advocate that Kerry needs to shout for Nader's inclusion in the debates.

7. Yeah? Well, he promised
to stay out of swing states LAST time around. He's a lying SOB, and if he f*cks up another election, he'll be glad to have that secret service protection, because people will be p*ssed.

No, mods, this is not a threat - I'm totally non-violent - and I'm not ADVOCATING violence, only warning of its possibility.

4. His few points in that poll was enough to put Kerry in second.
I have a feeling he will drop out under all the pressure hes getting and as long as he gets ignored we dont feed his ego.

5. I can think of one way he can
Also he would gain a lot of respect back if: He immediately quit the presidential race and supported the democratic nominee.

Otherwise I don't see him helping us, he sure didn't last time against the same person, Bush.

6. He bashes Dems as much if not more than pubs and ANY votes for him in a
close election would put Bush back in WH - like he did last time.
