3. I'm not sure about Why...
but I can kind of figure it is because bush is in TX; While the cat's away....

Regardless, it will be interesting to see ashcroft try to explain away his treason.

5. Gay Marriage
This pResident has to put his staff bigot on display to keep the press fire hot under the Gay Marriage issue.

This is a false debate. A raised issue. This debate is intended to get GeeDubya's failed foreign and domestic policy issues off this morning's news.

"MEET THE PRESS WITH TIM RUSSERT"

To Appear as Guests on "Meet the Press"
Sunday, August 3, 2003

As the summer travel season heats up, the government this week released warnings of new attacks by Al Qaeda terrorists. Joining us this Sunday to address concerns about the safety of our country -- and our transportation system -- will be Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge.

Then, in our "Meet the Press" roundtable, Gloria Borger from CNBC's "Capital Report," Andrea Mitchell from NBC News, Dana Priest from the Washington Post and Robin Wright from the Los Angeles Times will all join us to talk about guerrilla warfare in Iraq, the burgeoning crisis in North Korea, and the latest developments in the race for the White House.

Tim Russert is the moderator of "Meet the Press." Betsy Fischer is the executive producer. Erin Fogarty and Michelle Jaconi are producers.

"Meet the Press" is regularly seen from 9-10 a.m. ET, except in Washington, D.C. and New York City where the broadcast is seen from 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET. Please check local listings or the Meet the Press website (www.mtp.msnbc.com) for airtimes in your area.
