Bill (Bet-a-million) Bennett on Cspan giving the Las Vegas Line on Bush.
Bennett said, “ before Bush we were on the defense, now, with Bush we are on the offense.” That is true before Bush we had some allies, now we are at war against the whole world.

4. I'm listening to Bennet now.....
The scary part of Bill Bennet is that he is a very calm logical speaker and not a radical who is very easy to see through. It scares me that a lot of people will listen to him and believe what they hear.

Must be his years of trial experience convincing jurors.

I hope c-span gets a counter to Bennet soon!!!!

6. I think you may be confusing him with his brother Robert (Bob)
This guy was Dept of Education Secretary and Drug Czar in pube administrations....a dismal failure at both. I hope somebody asks him if he dropped acid when he was dating Janis Joplin...

13. not anymore
Bennett used to be able to manage passing off his garbage, but he's been reduced pretty well to a joke, even before the gambling thing. I only see him on Fox News now, during Clinton's term he seemed to be all over the place.

911? No, we didn't, Mr. Bennett. * changed the subject to Iraq. Someone needs to call these bozos on this type of bs.

AND now he's got the gall to comment on "cultural pollution".

7. CSPAN has become so conservative it's difficult to watch...
...First they have Bennett...the king of moral relativism...and next they're having a 'Republican' pushing another bill that we don't need.

- Think I'll watch Free Speech TV (Democracy Now) instead.

12. Never fear.. they have the ACLU guy on later
Of course, he will be portrayed as LIBRUL, and he will be talking about the civil rights of the Guantanamo prisoners..:eyes: yeh.. THAT'S a vote winner for democrats :eyes:..

I know that they should have some rights too, but when liberal causes are ONLY connected to controversial issues like that , it's hard to garner broad support..

The ACLU guy should have been sitting across from Bennet to counter with issues of OUR rights to OUR airways, and why it's ok to have yet another FREE infomercial for the RNC, and yet liberal radio gets NO support from the conglomerated radio moguls...

10. er... before bush, we were still on the offense
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 08:52 AM by enki23
we were bombing iraq on a regular basis. at no time have we ever failed to be on the offensive, probably since splitting from great britain. maybe the war of 1812? but the brits might disagree, as they had never really granted that we were anything but a part of their own holdings. so calling that "defensive" is very like a southerner talking about "the war of northern aggression." i suppose there's pearl harbor, though that was definitely a singular event.

in any case, bennett should get back to sodomizing one-armed bandits and leave the political yammering to those republican hypocrites who haven't yet been caught.
