Does America need more nuclear weapons and arms races?
- The Bushies are going ahead with their 'plan' to build a new generation of nuclear weapons, restore testing and place weapons in space. At the same time...the Bushies are demanding that the rest of the world disarm or face preemptive strikes with their new weapons.

Administration moves ahead on nuclear `bunker busters'
By Dan Stober
Mercury News

Demonstrating a significant shift in America's nuclear strategy, the Bush administration intends to produce -- not just research -- a thermonuclear bunker-busting bomb to destroy hardened, deeply buried targets, the Pentagon has acknowledged for the first time.

The weapon -- known as the Robust Nuclear Earth Penetrator -- would be a full-power hydrogen bomb that would throw up enormous clouds of radioactive dust while wreaking large-scale damage and death if used in an urban area. It would be thousands of times more powerful than the conventional ``bunker busters'' dropped on Baghdad in an attempt to kill former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Federal officials signed documents in Washington this week to launch a preliminary design contest between Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Because of the lead time needed for congressional funding, officials at the National Nuclear Security Administration say, they might seek additional money for the next phase of development even before the preliminary work is completed in 2005 or 2006.

Arms-control advocates are disturbed by earth-penetrating nuclear weapons, saying they are unneeded and will only encourage other countries, such as North Korea or Iran, to build their own nuclear weapons as fast as possible. They say such weapons are unnecessary because buried bunkers can be destroyed with conventional bombs or by sending in troops to attack entrances, air shafts and communications cables. - http://www.siliconvalley.com/mld/siliconvalley/5695249.htm

1. Suicide is painless...it brings on many changes...
When you allow a retarded partial birth abortion to live and grow to adulthood, you get George Bush a drooling idiot with a brain so small you could put three of them in a hamster and still have room left over for his shrunken genitalia.

While America becomes a land of second class citizens, a third world nation and a fourth rate power all because of "a major league asshole."

Sickening pigs. And that goes for all of us for putting up with this shit.

4. The Bushies are going ahead without the approval of congress...
...and financing it with money from other Pentagon programs.

- They're also reluctant to talk about the fact that 'starwars' will put nuclear weapons in space.

5. Noooooo!!!!

There is a big difference between a military that can blow every country up 1,000 times over, and a military that is sufficient to our needs. The GOP does not understand this. We continue to pour billions and billions more into Defense than what is needed, while we continue to neglect the things that are our backbone: education, infrastructure, healthcare, etc......

I was hoping they'd get the picture when Dubya recorded the biggest deficit in history........

6. Oh no, innocence, you don't understand...
"I was hoping they'd get the picture when Dubya recorded the biggest deficit in history........"

This administration needs this bottomless deficit to bankrupt this country so they can maintain control. If no one but them have any money, no one can fight them.

You will learn how they think, along with millions of others, hopefully before it is too late.
