4. It's a NASA meatball.
The round NASA logo, like the one in your avatar is called "The Meatball" by NASA workers.

The logo that looks like this:

Is called "The Worm".

Just curious is all.

8. Yes, it is the meatball
though I never knew. I like the logo and I have always been a fan of space travel. I wish someone would strap me to the Hubble telescope.

2. Great List
I submitted to the Conservative Idiots list the fact that Clear Channel booted Howard Stern off the radio and yet they are the sponsers of Britney Spear's smut tour.

Difference between STern and Spears? Spears is a vocal Bush supporter

6. And I hope his FCC is also--
For the life of me I can't understand why a bunch of men get to decide what is decent and what is indecent.

7. He mentioned "The Fellowship" this morning too.
I have been kind of AWOL from DU lately but since Stern started giving it to Bush and co. I wanted to see if y'all knew.
He says he's going to get involved in voter registration and everything.

But...he also said that he's worried about his personal life being affected by what he's saying.... gee what a great group of folks neo-cons are....I can't imagine WHY he'd be worried....

10. First they cam for the poor, and I said nothing
Listening to Stern and Sullivan come to an enlightenment when their personal freedoms are under the gun brings to mind the speech oft repeated by Niemoller during the rise of the Nazis. First they came for .... and I did nothing, then came for the . . . and I said nothing, and then they came for me.

I have a real hard time feeling sorry for Stern, he should have seen this coming and stood up for what America is supposed to be about. Instead he enabled Bushco to run us into the dark ages. Now that they have come for him he is pissed, well thats what you get when you are only concerned with your self interest.

12. And waiting until they come for you
seems a very libertarian thing to do. I suppose this is Stern being true to his political philosophy.

15. Alot of people are that way, and it *is* annoying, isn't it?
I have a friend who works in IT, and was a loyal Bush supporter until recently. The Iraq invasion, tax cuts for the rich, cutting overtime, outsourcing, etc., etc., he supported it all.

Then he lost his job.

Now he's angry about all the items I just listed and more. It's odd the way so many people ignore problem until the problems touch them personally.
