1. uuuhhh, no news yet
it's on local tv. the anti-gay marraige peeps are ridiculously funny. "well, i think marraige is an ancient custom that shouln't be changed" and "im just worried they'll pass an amendment that has a civil union provision too because I'm also opposed to that" and "well, im a father of 4 sons so i dont like gay marraige"

5. On Kerry...
If an amendment comes out of this convention that "allows" but does not mandate civil unions, and does not state that they are the TOTAL legal equivalent of marriage, and if Kerry supports such an amendment, then I am not sure I could campaign for him. That would be asking a lot. I draw the line at "nominal" equality.
