"At $6 an hour, who needs a tax cut?" Newsday
I found this in the opinion section of todays Newsday.

(snip)Security people kept reporters from interviewing the workers at U.S.A. until the president was on the way to his next stop.

But when workers were finally interviewed -- these people who made up the bulk of the president's cheering audience in New York -- Bush's performance turned out to be, if anything, even more impressive.

"No speak English," said the first worker, smiling apologetically.

"No speak English," said the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth workers way-laid in the crowd.

But you think the tax cuts should be made permanent, as he says?

"Sorry, no English," said another.

It turns out that this was a hand picked audience.
Typical bushit.

Read the column, and then read the rest of the paper.

"Letters to the editor" gives you a feel for what we in NY are thinking about the chimp.

He WILL NOT WIN NY.

1. Jeeez..why doesn't this surprise me...
my question is, will it make it to the 6 o'clock news?? Highly unlikely.

It never ceases to amaze me how outright blatant this misadministration can truly be. If they at least tried to hide some of these ridiculous things I would understand, but they don't even try.

2. I read
that when the First Turkey went to Iraq, the soldiers there were hand-picked. Seems that the soldiers had to fill out a questionnaire about how much they liked the Shrub. Only those who were 100% for Bush got to be in the cafeteria. The others were confined to quarters eating MREs. The Chimp must go.

4. It just goes to show
That * in no way has the real feel for the emotions of of the people.

He is so far out of touch.

I think the chimp actually believes he can win in Nov.

Unless BBV wins it for him, he's in for a rude awakening.

5. Oh I read that also and the had to eat at 6 AM or some such thing.
This is like our Queen, a real figure head, to drag out and use his father's name. This country has become the laughing stock of the world.

6. I remember that. I don't think the others were confined to quarters...
...it's just that nobody asked THEIR opinion of * when they went for chow.

But the photo op was definitely invitation-only.

3. I am not shocked but do feel it is very scary.
I do not think Bush can keep this country afloat and if these are his fans, 'he looks good,' it is to scary to be sane.

8. "Sorry, no English"
Makes sense. After all, the numnutz* they were listening to can barely speak English, either.
