It is a part of the game. The players want it, the fans want it and well I want it. It's part of the history of the game. What Bertuzzi did the other night is a different story.

2. Yes- flagrant acts need to be sharply penalized.
I know hockey is a rough game. I know people like to see the fights. I think you have to be a sick screwhead to want to see a person get blindsided and his head smashed into the ice.

If they don't, it just proves hockey is not worthy of standing on its own as a sport without the hooliganism.

Just like every other tru civilized sport, hockey should ban fighting absolutely. No penalty zone -- instant ejection and player fines. This "wink and nod" crap is bullshit.
