High-Paying Jobs Are Moving Overseas, U.S. Workers Replaced by Foreigners

Up to speed or not, Emmons wound up being "washed out" anyway. Last summer, he moved his family from California to Florida for the Siemens Co., makers of electronics and equipment for industries. Not long after, Emmons and 19 other programmers were replaced by cheaper foreign workers.

2. I completely agree. It destroys the GOP.
A whole wall of the GOP fortress is made out of labor/management conflict. Buh-bye to the wall, buh-bye to the GOP.

3. Gephardt and Kucinich are the candidates making this an issue
All the rest either support it or are silent. The candidate who picks up this issue will win.

4. Good call!
And welcome to DU! :hi:

You're lucky to be in a blue state. Mine is more purple- split pretty evenly Dem/Rep. Although plenty of people would like to claim that it's Jebland (FL.)

9. Sounds like the CHEAP-LABOR CONSERVATIVES scam.
Apologies - I cannot remember where I read this, but it was a long article about how Dems and liberals should start repeating the following mantra: CHEAP-LABOR CONSERVATIVES. It totally yanks the rug out from under all this privatizing, big-business, advantage the rich/soak the poor/export the jobs stuff. Big business wants cheap labor. They'll starve the economy, screw the unions, ANYTHING to cut costs and whittle away at the gains that workers have agonized and struggled for years to win. All they care about is the bottom line and the workers who contribute to that bottom line be damned.

If we continue the branding of CHEAP-LABOR CONSERVATIVES, the "foresaken" angry white guy with the endangered job will eventually get the point. The rethugs are not his friends.
