Now that Bush is no higher than the mid-50s in the polls
that means he's basically one bad week away from dropping into the high 40s. And once even one poll drops below 50 percent I predict the media will notice. Also, every other time Bush was in danger of falling into the 40s something big happened, first 9/11 then the Iraq war. But because the Iraq situation is still unresolved, and there are serious credibility questions, I don't think Bush can even think of attacking another country to bring up his numbers.

1. If he drops to the 40's Calif will fall into the sea, Right?
Well it has to be big. I think he will run as a Dem and say he will do anything for jobs and the people. Those who wish to believe will believe. That over 3 million jobs are gone will be put aside by his base.

2. I Still Say Something With His Health Will Come Up
and sympathy for the idiot will cause his numbers to go up (slightly). I know he just got a clean bill of health, but they're running out of countries to invade and another terrorist attack on 'murka will discredit AWOL's claims that we're "safer" since Saddam is out of power, etc. I just don't think he can play the same cards over and over. They've got to come up with another trick to fool the people until Nov. '04.

6. I agree.
He's done some hard living in his day and that liver of his can't last forever. The sympathy for chimpy would be overwhelming. That or a "terra attack" on the troops.

3. He's heading into 40's very soon.
His trend line is inversely related to the number of body bags of dead US soldiers brought home.

5. Now that Bush is no higher than the mid-50s in the polls...
...it's time for another terrorist attack or war to bring the drooling masses out in a show of national unity around their president.

Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea. Take your pick.

7. Dealers choice ?
I wonder what the boys at Darpa have on thier odds board.

An over/under wager on troop casualties?

Not sure if they could they could use apoint spread or no. With the U.S. as the favorite Syria and S.A. would be the US minus the points, Iran as pick 'em, and Nk to cover the spread.

Fear and anger(testoserone) are the only thing this administration seems to understand well. We will have a boogey-man in sept. 2004 and maybe by sept. 2003 if the press or the people get uppity.
