The Prisoner & Homeland Security ... A Connection???

I was watching an episode of The Prisoner (a British TV series starring Patrick McGoohan, as #6, which aired here in the states back in the late 60s) when I noted some rather startling parallels to our situation here in Bush's Murika.

A female prisoner was attempting to escape from the village and #2 called for an orange alert ... could this be where Ridge got his idea for our color-coded terrist alert??

And in a conversation between #2 and #6, #2 states that:
"It doesn't matter who #1 is. It doesn't matter which side runs the village. Both sides are becoming identical. What is being created is an international community. A perfect blueprint for world order."

#6 responds ... "The whole earth as the village?" to which #2 states: "That is my hope,"

Is this a summary of PNAC or is this a summary of PNAC??

creeped put by that series, I was in junior high. I NEVER thought I would end up living through something so eerily similar.

There's not only video cameras everywhere, but the ability to trace anything with micro-size RFID tags, and to read your DNA from anything you touch.

It's quite possible we could become ensnared in a hyper-totalitarian singularity. We may be nearing the event-horizon now.

I hate to kick my own thread but I know that there a more than a few people on this site who were fans of The Prisoner and I'd like a few more responses before it drops off the front page.
