Religious Right Gag Order?

Interestingly, I haven't heard much from two of my
favorite (NOT) "Christians" lately...
Falwell and Robertson.

I wonder why?

Just a thought: Maybe Rove
has told them to keep quiet for now in order
to make it harder for the Kerry folks to disprove
the truth that this is a right wing fundamentalist
radical administration that wants to
force religion down every one of our throats.

These are dangerous people, IMO...

1. Tom Delay & Dick Armey completely disappeared in 2000

never heard a word from them starting in about the spring or summer of 2000. The GOP put them in that back bedroom where you put that crazy aunt when company comes over. I wouldn't be surprised to see the GOP at least try to hide the "christian" right. However, I doubt they'll take it for long because of the persecution thing they love so much.

The Christian Right won't stand for too much of this; they'll probably demand some red meat convention speakers who will remind us all of the power the exert over the Bush White House. This is one of the ways the late convention could hurt President Bush. The more hardline conservatives are very frusterated with what they see as a moderate approach to government (actually a corporate approach, the Bush administration has been very tough when it comes to protecting corporate issues, just not as strong on social issues.

Still Rove might be able to keep it under control.

3. they RUN the White House

Bush is now the head of the Christian Coalition.

They control the White House.

They control Congress -- every single one of the GOP congressional leaders has a 100% rating from the Christian Coalition, as does the huge majority of GOP Senators.

They don't need to make any noise. The Bush regime is carrying out the agenda of the Religious Right. They have won.

4. I'm just saying what i read

They complain all the time about the lack of power in society and the fact that President Bush has forgotten them on social issues.

But if you prefer to believe that they know they have all the power they need, but figure they score more points by pretending to be powerless, well, that's not entirely impossible.
