House Passed CAFTA today (7/24) .....free trade w/Singapore & Chile
House Passed CAFTA today

"Our government moved one step closer to betraying white collar
Americans by voting for the Singapore and Chile FTAs (CAFTA). Today the
House passed the Singapore Free Trade Agreement (FTA) (H.R. 2739) by a
272-155 vote and the Chile FTA (H.R. 2738) 270-156 just a little bit
later.

The only thing standing in the way of passage is the Republican
controlled Senate. If the house vote is any indication, the Senate vote
will be nothing more than a rubber stamp."

Stark (D) california

"Mr Stark cited estimates showing 3.5 million US white-collar jobs will
shift to other countries in the next 10 years, and that the free-trade
pacts would exacerbate that trend. "

Why not just sign one big "screw the American worker" bill....so that every third world country takes our jobs.

i would like to thank the media for covering this story and our politicians for not giving a dam about our jobs and the future of this country.

If the Dems don't address this crap, and I mean fast, I am out of the party for good.

4. I understand...
this sort of melding of demos and repukes caused me to vote for Nader in 1996!

I understand Kucinich doesn't have a chance, but I will vote for Kerry, who at this point anyway, seems to have the best possibility of actually becoming the nominee.

What say ye on that?
