1. Just don't look into his eyes
there is bound to be some ill effect on those that look upon evil.

2. Tweety played that video clip of Perle
saying how the Iraqis would welcome us, and love us, and shower us with flowers, and our standing in the Muslim world would NOT be damaged.

5. meanwhile, Hans Blix is just "diplomatically" eviscerating the junta
on PBS

called their use of phony information "scandalous"

poor Jim Lehrer said that was a "pretty serious word"

got that right, Jimbob, you pusillanimous pussyfooter

Funny, that's not how he referred to him
in a Vanity Fair article last year. I can't remember the exact quote, but he basically implied that the "president" is a little dim.

11. One of the best exchanges I've seen throughout this fiasco
was between Asshole-Eyes and Holbrooke on ABC's This Week about a month or so ago.

Holbrooke just dismissed Perle's ravings out of hand, made him seem like a lunatic, taking the PNAC argument, basically, and saying it's a recipe for disaster

wish I could remember the details now, but Perle was speechless/defenseless

tweety giving it to Perle now about Chalabi's false info, and Perle DENIES Chalabi admitted it

BIGTIME clash of truth here.

"If this war was based on a single source of information, a lot of people should be fired"

immediately thereafter, he says TENET should be FIRED, and take responsibility!

Tweety says NOTHING in response, other than saying "Richard Perle, calling for George Tenet's resignation"

what an ASS!!!!

where's the Tweety that savaged Robert Wexler when he was on the other night, while Ileana Ros-Lehtinen diddled herself on split screen, in orgasmic delight?

right out of the gate Holbrook said that he wanted to appear tonight alongside Perle, and Perle refused.

chickenshit.

10. Wow!
The Repubs are always trying to make Dubya sound a lot smarter than he is, but...."laser-like intelligence?!?!" 'Sounds like Perle is desperate.

6. 'Still trying to decide whether to watch at 10pm (cst)...
Matthews has had interesting programs the last two nights, especially Hans Blix on Monday. I'm not sure I want to aggravate myself by watching Perle. Is it worth it?

8. It's utterly revolting. I highly recommend against it
Tweety prefaced his remarks to Perle saying:"obviously we went into Iraq for purposes of self-defense".

My blood pressure just cannot take this.

Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 07:42 PM by Cush

Holbrooke just said that he was perfectly fine appearing with Perle, but Perle didn't want a joint appearance

18. heard that too -
Funny, I was just thinking that Holbrooke should come on and make it clear that it wasn't HE who was afraid to face off, but Perle.
And then he did -
I'm digging Holbrooke more and more.

20. If you want some desert:
Ken Adelman vs Harold Pinter

from yesturday's BBC "Iraq: One Year On"

Funniest spinning I've ever seen -- my personal facorite is when Adelman says "America doesn't have a military base in Afghanistan" to which the host, Jeremy Paxman, is incredulous so Adelman replies "well, at most a few special forces types."

Anyway, using this link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsa/n5ctrl/tvseq/newsnight/04/iraq16mar.ram

it's about 45 minutes in & last for about 10-15 minutes.

21. Richard Perle reminds me of the guy in "The Passion"
The one that was so adamant to crucify Jesus. What a mean looking bastard.
