Jordan 'may sue over bank raids'

The bank raids sparked rioting amongst Palestinians
Jordan says it is considering suing Israel in order to recover millions of dollars seized from banks in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Israeli soldiers raided several Ramallah banks last month in what they claimed was their biggest move to choke off funding for Palestinian militants.

Jordanian and Palestinian officials deny holding activists' accounts.

The Jordanian government said the move was illegal and violates Israel's 1994 peace treaty with Jordan.

The government spokeswoman, Asma Khader, called the action a flagrant violation of international law and the peace treaty both parties signed a decade ago.
