That may be a pathetic "hook-em-horns" sign (UT Austin), but those are not the right colors. The robes are Burnt Orange, not blue and black. And that thing in the front does not look right either. Maybe it is the secret sign of the Skull and Bones, or Illuminati, or some such.

And I wish more people in my Repug state (Oklahoma) could see him make that sign. Hating Texas is one thing all Okies can agree on.

*smh* as if he could look any dumber...

I know this will mean very little to anyone, BUT (disregarding the hookem horns notion)... after years of being creeped out by the heavy metal kids who flashed the "sign of the devil" (this would be before Motley and the rest oozed into public) for whatever reasons, I was absolutely delighted to hear the origins of this display from the gentleman(?) who claims to have started the bullshit in the first place, Gene Simmons. Now, Im not now, nor have ever been, a Kiss fan, but the tall hairy gifted tongued one has been a fan himself, and that is to say, a fan of Steve Ditko. Now I know everyone here knows full well who Steve Ditko is, so I wont bother with that, but isnt it nice to know that Gene Simmons was simply passing along the trademark hand gestures of one of the most unusual comic book artists of all time? Yeah, that gesture was taken from the Ditkoism's seen in early issues of Dr Strange as he cast spells, and when turned over is the same Ditkoism known further and wider as Spiderman's web shooting maneuver. So next time you see someone imitating it, do what I do, and waste several minutes of their time telling them this story :)
