42. I got insight on C-Span after I was inerviewed
Oh yeah...I won the C-span contest and they took everything I said and told me not to go there. It was susan. She did not want to hear anything bad I had to say about how vets were actually being treated. I didn't even recognize my interview after C-Span shot me down on the interview. They hadn't paid me yet either !

59. Yes I will
I am not a cryer. But I cried that day. Now any of you who know me, know that I am outspoken. when I zapped Katherine Harris on CNN I did it politely. When I speak on Guy James show with the exception of today because I was riled so terribly with the wingers, I usually am very thoughtful but firm.
I entered the C-Span contest because deep down I always believed that they were extremely fair and balanced and said so in my essay.
I have a Focus Group Now site which is something I had to invent for the CD because I could not affiliate anything partisian on the Vet site of United Veterans as it is a 501 C. I have since put a disclaimer on the vet site and put a link there anyway, as no one is endorsed on that CD by name.

Back to the story. Susan called and said she was going to do the interview and she had me read the essay first. I did. She then asked me, which threw me off balance, what kind of terrain did I live in? What the heck does that have to do with Vets? I told her. She then asked how far was I from Atlanta ? I told her. I tried to mention how badly the vets were being treated and it went nowhere, it was a controlled interview. It was lets, retape and stay positive sort of approach. She asked what kind of industry we had here. Duh again, what does that have to do with Vets? I managed to get in the part about going to Washington and how Clinton/Gore handled that situation of the ADA not being upheld beautifully. That was the only partisian thing I got to say.

I knew they had me once I read the essay. Could have cut me off at any point. I have since seen what they have done to the other winners. Not many questions except for those you know are clearly republican and say so. They ask about the terrain and junk like that. I am used to calling in live and speaking my mind but anything Iwould have said, would have been cut.
We went to retape three times as it was. I could not bring up my Focus Group Now Blog and it was as big a part of my essay regarding the CD as the Vet site.

It was all a scam. I called them back and wanted another interview. No answer. To date, I have not received my money..the 250.00 prize nor has that interview been shown. Now I know they went to FocusGroupNow and really know how partisian I am and that is why it wasn't mentioned. FocusGroupNow is a little bitty DU or Smirking Chimp. But it does have a lot of info on there, but nothing good on Bush. She flat out told me they wouldn't be using or mentioning anything but the vet site, What do you wanna bet when they show the interview next week, which made me look very self centered by answering her dumb questions and not an advocate at all, they won't even show the website of United Veterans of America. What do you want to bet? I have held off calling C-Span as I want to call in that day if I can get through and tell the rest of the story. The rest of the story will be what is really going on with vets. I also saw her being rude to a winner who called in the other day who was running as a Dem candidate.

7. We were mocking the media whore at CNN
over her "100,000" quip. Interestingly enough, MSNBC was reporting 10,000.

The "snafu" at CNN was even more interesting when one stops to think that they had just reported, not even one minute beforehand, that there were "only" 30,000 war protesters in Japan.

Hmmmm. It seems we'll be getting all George, all the time, today.

6. Saw the entrance of the Royal princess
her makeup is especially plastered on and looks very harsh and the joker smile forever. Has on a turquoise jacket and black pants. She walks confidently and works the crowd--stopping to talk to a child, who paid not attention to her at first until his mom nudged him and then stopping to shake the hand of the token black person--all for the cameras, obviously an act. His Royal highness then enters--yippee--he gets to the stage and roughly grabs Laura and puts his arm around her and they both are bathed in the glory of their own presence as they pose to the cameras

"Sorry, the role of con-man Harold Hill has already been cast."

Dems should use Sousa music, it's stirring without being mindless. But that overblown Wagnerian intro for Shrub was almost creepy.

I don't mean to make too strong of a comparison with rallies I've seen in certain Riefenstahl films, because the fact is you don't have to be a Nazi to be a fascist.

George said "You don't win with partisan anger." Tell that to Plush Lintball and the legions of radio talk show hosts who nurture partisan anger on a daily basis.

44. One thing...
At the beginning of this "pep-rally" he said that after his speech people would be going door to door trying to register people to vote. For all their sakes, no one better show up at my door. I have a border collie that tries to bite the face off of any religious solicitors that come around. I'll be more than happy to introduce her to any of them that show up. They can stay the hell off of my property.:grr:

56. To be fair, and Christ knows I don't want to be,
C-Span carried many weeks of Dems kicking George's butt most righteously.

60. So far, I gotta say, the dems have it over * in coverage
I watched Theresa Heinz Kerry for a solid three hours on c-span during the Iowa campaign, and she was great! Don't know how this will pan out eventually, but the dems are ahead of the pugs as they have been getting coverage on cspan daily for the past several months.

Don't forget Kerry is on vacation. What's with all that fuss about a fall snowboarding? I think he's absolutely remarkable, snowboarding, parasailing, hockeyplaying, etc., etc. He's like, wow!

61. World News
This was the World Vs. Bush...Not Kerry Vs Bush
Today was big news and none of the media wanted to show it but they will spend three days on Janet Jackson's boob, the Peterson murders or Martha Stewart. Nope this was media buy out whoring today. When you have every continent protesting foreign policy., It is supposed to be called News and not politics. There were soldiers..dead soldiers honored....There were outrages...there were some people gassed in San Francisco. I want the right wing to tell me again about the Left ..Liberal Media !

57. My sister just got back from Orlando today
I thought she said the tickets to see Bush were free and they had something like 120,000 that they were trying to give away. Maybe I misheard her. I missed all the coverage today. Was his speech somewhere that would seat 120,000? If so and only 20,000 showed, that's alot of people that turned down free tickets. What a chump.

My sister was just happy she got to leave Orlando a day before McChimpster got there. Wouldn't that be a shitty end to a vacation!
