Jet fighter streaks in the Orlando sky. Bush must be in town.

I counted no less than 10 jet fighter streaks in the sky and took a picture for posterity. Bush is at an Orlando Republican Rally and I'm sure that the use of fighter jets will be explained away as a necessity for national security. But it doesn't hurt the Republican coffers as a display of strength, does it? And we're paying for it. If anyone can give me instructions on posting a picture, I'll post a photo of the jet tracks for you to enjoy.

The blues are not true on this digital, but it made a far more striking contrast than the first photo. Scroll to the right to get the full photo in.

How long did they persist in the sky? Did they stay at their original size? Just a few questions, nothing more.

almost immediately. It's a beautiful day here in O town, truly. We also have the beating sound of just about every municipalities' hell-a-whoppers in the sky. Gives me goose-bumps to be living in this great town and to be the object of national attention and world scorn. I'm thinking of having cake for breakfast, if they let me.

We were driving in and out so I can't tell you exactly how long it lasted. But I had to go out twice to get the photos because I ran out of the house the first time so fast that I failed to notice that my digital didn't have a memory card in place.

When I first noticed the streaks, you could see at least one of the jets in action. I can't say that I saw them all being created at the same time. By the time I was finished with the second shooting, it was probably a total of 10 minutes. The first shot I took is at a different angle, but it's the same tracks. The only difference is that the sky is a lighter shade of blue. I took the second shot, which you see, very quickly. For some reason, the sky turned out a stony blue -- darker than it really was.

I will also add, that down on the ground, it was a very windy day.
