"Rumsfeld and Cheney planned to sell them to Saddam, but Congress caught on and forbid the sale. We could no longer sell Saddam weapons as we did during the Reagan/Bush years. If we had been allowed to, surely Saddam would have hidden them. Therefore, it is perfectly reasonable that we have planted them now."

Then Bush will trot the "Yes, Massa" Condi and Colin crew and the crew to spin this monster on MTP. Cheney will give a speech on the same topic before the American Enterprise Institure to a cheering crowd. Rumsfeld and the Joint Chiefs will give a briefing before the press toadies.

And that will be the end of the WMD issue.
