Cleaning up the mess from this war will take many years
Even if Baby Bush is evicted from office this November, John Kerry will inherit his mess in Iraq. It will probably not be feasible for him to rapidly withdrawl the troops from Iraq. We are stuck in a real entanglement there that could last many years.

The point here is that as president, Kerry will need to remind the American people constantly that this was not a war he initiated, nor was it a war he so badly botched for two years, yet he will be the one who has to clean it up. That could take years. I would suggest that Kerry constantly remind people that this was his predecessor's war, every time a soldier is killed, everytime there is another setback in Iraq. This will always be Baby Bush's war. I don't care who the president is.
