Should Kerry or an ally run ads with bush joking about his 9*11 trifecta?
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 08:20 PM by nu_duer
There is footage. He said it, from what I can tell, at least seven times, each time with a smirk and that Chrissy Snow snorty laugh of his. ACTUALLY JOKING ABOUT 9*11!

I think Kerry or the party or MoveOn or Soros or somebody should slap that on the air asap, with a tag line about taking terrorism seriously, heeding warnings, making the right decisions (AQ, not Iraq), and time for an experienced president who actually put his life on the line to protect this nation. Of course, that would need to be cleaned up a bit and edited for full effect. But I think it would be powerful. Maybe end with bush snorting at his own sick humor while the screen fades to black, with text appearing on the screen saying "America deserves better" then "Kerry for President," or something like that.

And it should be run over, and over, and over again. Repetition works! I think it would tear him down fast. How the hell could the moron argue with his own depraved performance?

Whaddaya think?

And wait, if that for bush, why not one of cheney saying saddam had nukes? of condi saying "no one could ever have imagined" or one of her poorer performances. The same for rummy and the rest of the regime. Find their worst public moments, where they look as weak as they actually are, or are obviously stating something that we now know to be untrue, and run them over and over. There's over three years of utter mismanagement by these criminals. Let's find the clips that they'd rather everyone forget, and put it front and center.

Let's damn them all with their own words.

1. I agree with you about a Trifecta joke ad, but I don't
I agree with you about a Trifecta joke ad, but I don't think an ad of Cheney saying Iraq was about to get nukes would help.

4. You might be right about cheney/Iraq
I was referring to the MTP appearance where he basically said saddam HAD nukes, not about to have them, but had them.

It might be better to center more around the 9*11 time frame, tho. Focus on his extreme, years long effort to avoid telling the public he's supposed to serve who was at his secret energy meetings, and what was discussed. That's still current as well.

5. Yes!
And don't forget to add in the sound of his $2000 per plate audience laughing and clapping.

Speaking of jokes - Why did man invent religion? To keep the poor from murdering the rich.

Yes, run it as and ad, but not as an official Kerry ad. Move-on should do it.

19. Bush is preemptively warring on Kerry and Democrats
We need to war back.

Sometimes I fear that this country (USA) is on the verge of a Civil War. There are so many things that could tip us in that direction. It is not a pretty thought.

20. a whole series of ads, just showing Bush talking off the cuff
would be very effective.

The guy is his own worst enemy.

They could all end with

"this is our president?"

22. Remember the Air Force One "photo" which was sold to repuke $upporter$?
The one which was taken while bunny pants was flying around the country from one air base to another on 9/11? It was "portraying" Junior as a "leader" during America's crisis. Later, it was sold to repukes as a "special commemorative."

Well, I'd show this picture of bunny pants on 9/11 in your ad.
("The Coward-in-Chief / The "Photo-op President" / the "Fundraiser-in Chief")

Plus, I'd have another ad showing Junior fundraising...on the golf course...and, taking all of that time off in Crawford...while the war rages in Iraq and thousands died! ("Part-time President...Full-time Failure!")

Of course, we'd have to have another ad with Junior's aircraft carrier stunt..."Mission Accomplished". There's lots of possibilities with that one. I'd probably include some interviews of soldiers and their families-we've got plenty here at DU who would glady participate! (George W. Bush: "The Real Foe of America's Military and Their Families")

One more...I'd have one showing a bratty kid...who can't get along with other children (he takes their toys and hits them)...so, he has to play alone. Then I'd show a picture of Junior. "Sound familiar?...George Bush can't get along with the rest of the world. He's has isolated America. No one likes him. No one trusts him. He's the 'bully of the school yard'." Then I'd list or scroll on the screen all of the allies in the world that Bu$h has alienated! ("Just like an out-of-control child, George W. Bush needs a time out!...send him back to Crawford")

:-)

25. Definetly....And the ad should emphasize that the setup

for his joke is just another lie you can add to the pile. He never said that the only reason to raid the SS trust funds was in case of war, recession or national emergency. I think that quote was actually attributed to Al Gore from the 2000 campaign.
