1. I have never lived in Cuba
Or under a socialist government, so I do not feel justified offering my opinion. I will say that I think the United States policy toward the island borders on outright paranoia and the worst of the "Red Scare" mentality.

5. As far as dictators go, he's ok
He gets high marks on health care and education, but voting rights (or the lack of them) are a big concern, and overall I do not approve of the way Castro is handling his job as president of Cuba.

6. I like free speech and real elections
I can't understand anybody who is outraged by Bush saying Castro is a good president. We have 100 times more rights than Cubans. I don't quite think health care and education are fair trade-offs for freedom and elections. It isn't to say Cubans are being terrorized, but it isn't rational to glorify Castro either.

I suppose there is something pretty special about being free to talk as much as you want about how sick you are. Although that education problem may mean you can't talk about it real good.

educated everyone,health care is good for a country it`s size,and developed a very good army-freedom of speech and all that involves non- existent.
