Is Lou Dobbs liberal???
I've been watching Lou Dobbs Tonight aka Moneyline for sometime and I am thinking... yes?!

Does anyone know for sure or think he might also be liberal?

Haha, I know a bizarre post but he's my new hero! He only seems to read liberal letters, or at the very least is one of the most fair news readers out there.

6. Wouldn't go that far..
-Sometimes- seems to be actually dealing with facts, upholding principles, rather than parroting the Repub Party Line for the day.

Kind of lost it during the Iraq war.

He was pro-war and he didn't want to hear a dissenting opinion.

4. Not liberal, no.
Has said he voted for Bush.

More of a traditional free-market conservative--which can look pretty liberal these days.

8. Lou is a Moderate Republican !

I watch Lou Dobbs all the time, he is clearly a republican, and he voted for Bush. He
actually admitted giving money to Bush, and voting for him.

But, he is pretty fair most of the time, he does a pretty fair and balanced show.

It does lean a little right, but he is pretty damn objective. Before the war, and during the
war, he was a right-wing shill though.

I believe Lou is the best republican journalist on cable tv.

13. He Strikes Me as Pretty Old School
There are plenty of people around who are plenty fed up with both parties; Lou strikes me as one of them.

17. imo, old school business republican
on most issues he will read things from that vantage. But he was real pissed off during Enron (went further than many others in his criticism) and continued to be pissed off during the other accounting scandals. Seemed to be one who got the repercussions/ripple effect of such bad corporate behavior.

As such, while he has moderate conservative (on business issues) views, he tends to report accordingly (and try, I think, to be somewhat fair). But from time to time he appears really fed up with the moves this administration makes. That allows him to, from time to time, do some pretty critical reporting. At least critical when compared to others.

12. Dobbs is a fundie RW christian, who tries very
hard to appear balanced. He seldom suceeds. Lately, though, he seems to be wavering in his support for the chimp.

14. I have to take Lou on a case by case basis
He seemed serious about getting Enron prosecutions, but blindly Pukey for the WIQ. He's obviously not liberal, but he vacillates on being a Bush Whore 50-50. He takes orders occasionally from the RNC, or so it seems. Then he'll surprise with some independent viewpoint. He's not as insanely unpredictable as Tweety, but he does seem fair sometimes. I just can't tell which is the "real" Lou.

18. I still think the only reason he took a hard line on corp corruption
re Enron was because it makes corporate shills look bad. He's a repuke through and through.

15. Lou Dobbs
is a jerk! I was watching him when the invasion was going on and someone wrote in to critize him for his PRO war stance and he told the writer...."Too bad, if you don't like it". "I think our president did the right thing". He basically told the person...if you don't like it, switch the channel, so I did!! He's an ass. JMO
