I remember that convention well when Ronnie was nominated. The press were remarking on the times Bush kept demanding meeting with Ronnie (this is when they didn't pick a VP until convention time). Finally, the choice was Bush. The Reagans could barely stand on stage with the slime family and when in power literally snubbed them at parties. In a word, slime daddy Bush had 'something' (would love to know what) on Reagan and held it over him for the nomination. Reports at the time was how pappy always hung around D.C. getting appointments and livng off the government, etc. but was a detested figure by D.C. people. He was scum. He pulled his scum on Ronnie to get the VP slot. The Reagans always hated this bastard and this bastard ran his own opperations out the W. House basement. Scumbag was a government of one. These people are slime and Reagan knew it...too bad he doesn't have a mind anymore to tell the story. Nancy knows the story but is paid off to shut her mouth. She refused to attend our Georgie's convention in 2000 but then magically appeared to wave and leave 10 seconds later---you can only guess how much they put in her bank account for that appearance. The little money grubber.

I'm sorry to say this, but most of the folks in the media are cowards and whores. They supported Bush when Bush had support (this makes sense to the media).

Now that Bush is losing support, the media are jumping on THAT bandwagon. They will help Bush lose even more support, and as his support dwindles, more and more in the media will desert him.

It's nice to watch when it means that the truth is finally getting out. The sobering thought is that the media did the same thing to Clinton.

Wouldn't it be nice if they thought for themselves, did a little research, and presented the facts in an objective manner? Then we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now. Never mind, I'm just dreaming....

He was enormously popular, and they spent all their time and energy trying unsuccessfully to destroy him, in spite of all his popularity.
