Freepers freeping 911 commission! Fight back
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 09:34 AM by Carni
The freeprepublic morons have posted a call to Jihad against the 911 commission.

They are trying to skew facts and intimidate (as per usual.)

Here's the info they have posted to contact the commission.

Have at it folks!

E-mail, Info@9-11commission

Fax, 202-296-5545

www.9-11commission.gov

Here's the link to the freeper bullshit BTW-I was too sickened to read more than one or two posts!

3. how much is this costing us?
Looking over the Commission Staff listing, I am struck by the number of people and the level of experience they all have. I'm sure they are not being paid at Hill minimums, so it begs the question - how much is this Commission costing the taxpayers? And, at the end of the end of the day, does anyone TRULY believe we will learn anything new about what happened?

regardless of the final outcome.
Did you think the "hunt for Clinton's penis" was worth the money?

18. not defending penis-gate
and that was not my point at all. I think what we've gotten from Clarke is amazing, but for the costs of what we are spending on this commission we could be improving security at our ports, aiding first responders to get the equipment they need, not to mention the cost of smirk's sand-box war could be better spent on any of a multitude of problems facing this country and the rest of the world.

My point being, if we had the Congress, like the evil empire had during Penis-gate, we might get some real accountability. Even with this "bi-partisan" Commission, I would hazzard to say that whatever is finally produced - in terms of a report - will unboubtably deflect any blame and pass the buck to Clinton; and could allow the Bush League to tout it around as evidence that they did all they could, given the situation presented to them by the previous administration....

Just a thought - but I'm still working on my second cup of coffee....

The war, however, is NOT worth the money. Perhaps you could complain about that waste.

Bu$h is blowing in Iraq.

Most of that money is going to private contractors who for the most part have no accountablity and have done a terrible job of even delievering the most basic components of these agreements.

12. I for one
don't care how much it costs if we can get to the truth about what happened, re: intelligence failures, policy failures, etc. The repukes spent $70 million investigating President Clinton's zipper and found NOTHING. This is more important.

21. independence
The Commission was established by Congress and signed by smirk. Its not under the auspices of Congress or the Executive, if that's what you mean by "not a function of the House, the Senate, etc." and hence no separation of powers issue for Condi to appear before it.

32. $12 million
originally $3 million.

Either way it's peanuts. This commission is not optional, and for comparison, the Whitewater investigation cost $70 million.

LMFAO! Moveon.org--Terrorists? What is this guy?

As for the local press here, the Fascist Times Union is echoing these bastards. The pattern here: thrash Clarke personally, then deflect everything on Clinton and ignore Bush's role in the attack.

It won't work though.

16. Well let's just say you're not missing a heck of alot.
You have one listing the number, email, and site to contact the commission. Then you have a bunch of morons demanding an investigation on Bill Clinton and moveon.org's role in 9/11. Then the Monsoor Ijaz fairy tale, a short rant on the "liberal media," and it keeps going in that manner. Dumb shit, really.

Didn't Rumsfeld already say that even if Bin Laden had been killed 9/11 would still have happened? Do they want to start in with that "Clinton had a chance to take Bin Laden out" crap still?

10. My e-mail to the commission
First, bravo for shedding a little bit of light on what went wrong leading up to 9/11 yesterday and the day before. Many Americans wish you all had a far broader mandate.

See the following Web pages

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1104549/posts

I strongly urge you to ASK anyone attacking you by phone or e-mail today if they are calling as part of an organized online campaign. Mention "Free Republic," "Townhall," "Lucianne.com" and "Liberty Post".

14. Hey, I think one of those morons actually had a good idea!
"Just spoke with the administrative assistant to Governor Kean (R-Chair) and Lee Hamilton (D-Vice Chair). I emphatically expressed my disgust with the fact that the 9-11 Commission has degenerated into a transparently partisan attempt to destroy the presidency of George W Bush!! I further indicated that Governor Kean (and Lehman) should resign in protest(emphasis added) -- !!"

I agree! The highly partisan sycophants Kean and Lehman, who's been digracing himself all over the television networks, should resign and then, just maybe, this commission could get down to the truth.
