http://www.fortune.com/fortune/fastforward/0,15704,604376,00.html?cnn=yesAuthor David Kilpatrick refers to the "virulent anti-business attitude" found an in e-mail received from one of his his readers, who "like so many, he misunderstands economic realities"...then states:
"More logical is the following note I received from a writer of Indian ancestry:
"Major American companies get most of their business from the WORLD. It was convenient for Americans to enjoy record growth and prosperity when the world sent their huge investment dollars to the U.S., purchased tickets to watch Hollywood movies, and purchased American products. During these very same boom years, 99.9% of Americans completely ignored the plight of poor workers in the Third World who complained of illegal farm subsidies and globalization issues."
The logical discourse from the writer of Indian ancestry essentially goes on to say that if Americans can't show why they should be paid more for a job that someone from India is willing to do less, they should shut up and go into new industries or back to school to learn new skills. And because we didn't care about poor Third World workers during the "dot com" boom (in the writer's opinion), turnabout is fair play and the Third World is completely ignoring OUR plight in 2004. Charming.
Sounds like a logical writer of Indian ancestry who's on the Bush payroll.
