poor Kristin Breitweiser....she was just on NOW
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 01:49 PM by buycitgo
was there a thread on this Friday?

can't find it

my heart is breaking for her and the other families

what this is ALL ABOUT is finding out why it happened, and these CRIMINALS, these MONSTERS absolutely DO NOT want the light of day to shine on their crimes

why?

because they KNEW!

they KNOW now

and they're starting to KNOW that we KNOW that they KNEW!

please let disgusting co-monsters like Judy Woodruff wither away, so that most people will find out before it's too late

god, I'm sick to my stomach seeing her, and thinking about what this must be doing to people like her, who've invested their entire BEINGs into finding the truth

sorry

EDIT

two family members are on now

one idiot thinks the commission is doing a good job!

6. What disgusts me
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 01:48 PM by neebob
is that everyone talking about this - media and government - is getting paid to sit around talking about it, by people who are still not being protected as well as by those who lost loved ones, either on September 11th or in Afghanistan or Iraq. Meanwhile, people keep dying and the criminals continue to rake in the profits of their crime and the people who are paying for it and not being protected are in more danger than before. It's beyond obvious, and it's been obvious since about September 12, 2001, and people should not be getting paid to talk about it.

15. I first had this thought a few weeks ago
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 02:52 PM by neebob
while watching some Senate hearings on intelligence failures on C-span. Some gigantazoid report that had been prepared by someone's office was being discussed as if it was this hugely important deliverable, along with things that happened two ... three ... four years ago, and they're sitting aroud doing their thing where the gentleman from somewhere thanks the gentleman from somewhere else and blah blah blah. And it occurred to me, these gentlemen are getting paid ... I'm not sure what, but it's at least $100K a year to sit around for days and weeks and months, discussing reports prepared by people who get paid a lot less but my god - it's gotta add up - and things that happened in the past - and people think this is an exercise worth paying for? Multiply it by all the different things they sit around talking about, and imagine how much it costs. It's just wrong.

My job's not like that, and I make less than half and maybe a third or a fourth of some of these senators' total compensation. My firm's clients expect deliverables and results for their money, and if somebody screws up, we don't waste time sitting around talking about it - we fix it and make sure it never happens again.

On edit: I just looked up the salary for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate, and it's $158,100 a year.

10. it has to hurt so bad
If I think about the events of 9/11 long enough I'm blubbering away. I absolutely cannot imagine if I had lost a loved one or friend. Too difficult to contemplate.

12. The right will win due to propaganda
unless more whistle blowers are allowed to testify under oath and publicly. I don't know how the full truth can come out without some sort of surprise. Americans, unfortunately, love the comfort of their propaganda.

13. did hear what they TOLD Breitweiser in the commission?
let me get the quote, but it was something like, "we don't WORK that way here in Washington"

I saw her say it today on CNN, and I think it's in Gail Sheehy's Sibel Edmonds story

so sad, so MADDENING!

hold on

14. can't find it yet, but this is just as bad, maybe worse, about Sibel
Edmonds

you know about her, right?

She---Edmonds---sent a full report to one of the Democratic commission members. When this writer asked him about the commission's interest in the issues raised by Ms. Edmonds' report, he said: "It sounds like it's too deep in the weeds for us to consider, we're looking at broader issues."

isn't THAT special?

excellent sources here

email gail sheehy.....tell her what great work she's doing....encourage a real, honest to goodness journalist, unlike craven worms like the hideously, smugly mendacious Chalabi stenographer, Judith Miller

better yet, email the NY Observer, and tell them what a jewel in the lotus they possess!
