SING WITH ME!! - Bush Is DONE!! - Bush Is DONE!! - Bush Is DONE!!
:bounce:

Dadcom just called re: MTP this morning

Dadcom: "Clarke might have stuck a nail in Bush's coffin today."

Me: "You cannot dispute him"

Dadcom: "I think your right. LIHOP looks like a REAL possibility"

Me: "Believe me now?"

Dadcom: "Yup. And I think he woke many more up this morning."

Me: "Its a sad, but GOOD day in THIS household."

Dadcom: "Son, you have been fighting hard over the years. I think your right. Have a drink. YOU DESERVE IT."

Me: "I didn't do anything."

Dadcom: "You most certainly did. You convinced me and you stuck by your guns and marched in the streets. I didn't have the knowledge nor the guts to do it. Turns out you were right. Be proud."

Me: :wow:

DU!!! YOU HELPED MAKE THIS HAPPEN AND CONTINUE TO DO SO!!

:toast: TO ALL OF YOU FINE PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yourock:

5. Great to hear.
I've heard from others with intel creds that there will be a seismic shift in the intel community for the next 8 months. The good hats against the black hat Bush loyalists.

The good hats are preparing to win.

Is this consistent with what dadcom is hearing, too?

Richard Clarke = Daniel Ellsberg

the limited hangout just got a lot less limited for bushco and 9/11 culpability. a lot less.

32. That's what I'd like to know. This is THRILLING, matcom.
I am very pleased to hear this.

But what exactly did Dadcom hear from Clarke today that put him over the top?

11. That's great but
is it an accurate barometer of America?
There was a great line on the West Wing that I think may be true.
"It's the toughest interview on tv and only four people are watching."

Remember Bush looking so inept on MTP? It was pathetic and did not really register with the public.

12. AWESOME!!
Does Dadcom talk to his former colleagues both inside and out of the agency about it? Is it anything you can talk about without breaking a confidence?

In any case, for someone who was a skeptic AND on the inside of the intel community to even think LIHOP is huge!

Congrats, Matcom!

18. Same thing happened to me today.
I am part of a family business that has been fairly strained over my pops VERY conservative ideology, and my being what he termed 'ultra-liberal', LOL.

Anyway we have been ramping things up on a very promising project and spending alot of time together as a result.

I invariably bring up current events, and we discuss them.

Now up until lately we very rarely saw each other, and when we did it was pretty cold shoulder.

Anyway we are talking and it gets intense, one of those moments with a parent you will always remember.

And he said he has earned a new respect for my point of view since our conversations have caused him to pay attention to what is so plainly in the news daily.

Then he proceeds to tell me how he and my mother WON'T be voting for Bush, and proceeds to talk about Iraq and Bush's economic policies as a reason.

Well I was floored.

I mean my parents are corporate, christian, stauch anti-abortion people who while quite nice in their way, and damn smart, come down somewhere to the right of Bush on conservative christian idealism.

I know alot of folks here think it is way to early to call, and I agree.

But to hear my pop, in his way, apologize and admit he was wrong was just surreal.

In his words, Bush is cooked. I tend to agree.

24. Cheers!!!! to all us LIHOPPER's and those of us who PROTESTED against
Iraq Invasion, in those Freeper Places all over the US and have had to, lately, endure fellow DU'ers calling us "Anti-War Lefties" who are against the Democratic Party!

Thanks Matcom...your Dad is careful but it's great to see the folks who held out and spent time thinking about this finally coming over.

:toast: to you and your Dad. And, I remember when you and Pitt went to your first Boston Protest with your flyers in hand.

Another :toast: to you and your Dad!

28. Some folks go their entire lives and never hear what you heard today...
...you should be proud of what you did, and how you did it.

Fortunately, my WWII vet Dad and I came to the same conclusions shortly after Junior became Governor of Texas.

34. I have a similar experience
2 staunch republicans in my family (pro-bush) the whole 9 yards, were starting to show some regret about him. My step dad, who i stopped talking politics with because of the chimp, actually said "Clarke would make a better president then all of them", well i was floored!

Then my uncle, another bush can't do anything wrong type, actually said he don't like what's going on in Iraq and that he's not one of the best presidents. Coming from him, I was floored!
