What can we do to support Clarke ?
When I think of how much each of us agonizes over every insane criticism and stupid poll, I worry what it must be like for this very brave man who has devoted his life to something he obviously cares about deeply. Does anyone know how we can express appreciation to the man himself?

6. Write letters to everyone and anyone
Tell all the media folks how much we appreciate what he is doing, how brave he is, a real patriot....

Let your congress critters and the 911 commission members know too.

Clarke is getting smeared big time by Bu$hCo and I want to punch something everytime I hear some airhead saying oh but he's a liar or some other Bu$hbot crap. We need to freep the freepers.

8. It is a mistake to show overt support for Clarke
It will hurt his credibility with the people who we need to influence if Clarke looks like a Democratic mole. We need him to be seen as apolitical, only interested in the good of the country.

the issue he addresses, when the media and his enemies personalize their attacks. (This is what Clarke said, in so many words yesterday)

18. but what does this have to do with us supporting him by buying his book?
should he specify than no Democrats buy his book so as to avoid the appearance of partisanship?

22. Nothing. usscole talked about OVERT support of Clarke,
like plastering the world with emails from all DUers saying We Love Clarke! (CNN would say...imagine Schneider...'the only support Clarke enjoys is from the far left wing liberals.' Aaron Brown is already email resistant on this kind of effort)... Or...if we started putting up signs everywhere saying "Kerry Loves Clarke!"

The response was in reply to the original message, not about buying Clarke's most-excellent-ever book. (I managed to find three copies and kept one after passing the other two on)

Buy his book. Read his book. But don't take the bait of making his reputation and credibility a partisan issue.

I am pretty sure that I said that I wanted to show the guy himself that I appreciate his efforts. If you will check back several days, you will find that I posted the question of whether the support of Democrats hurts his efforts.
