The Natural Law Party
what exactly are these guys about? I heard they're supposed to be really looney but their platform at their site makes them look like a pretty natural center-left party. Why they have to seperate from the Dems is beyond me though.

2. I've read a little about the NLP
They do seem to have a fondness for TM. It seems they believe that if people meditated more, peace will result. They've probably got something there. They are also very concerned about genetically modified food. I agree that their platform does not make them seem looney at all. I suppose that they are just trying to get a viable political party going. I have always backed the idea of ending the 2 party system, but whenever some momentum in that direction gets going, the right-wing seems to find a way to screw it up.

3. it's been a long time since I read their material but
I thought some of their ideas were a little bit looney, but they had some interesting stuff too. But some of it seemed rather speculative to me, e.g., the ideas re how to bring about social harmony which, if I'm remembering correctly, were inspired by particle physics. Well, maybe I should read their website again...
