9/11: Rs say "Stop the blame game" because * should get the blame
The latest talking point from the not-so-bright RW TV talking heads is this: the 9/11 commission shouldn't be looking to place blame because *there's plenty to go around.* There were "intelligence failures" over two administrations."

Of course, that's all a lie.

The point of Clarke's testimony is clear, and it must be stated bluntly:

the FBI DID NOT SCREW UP - Tenet's "hair was on fire" according to Clarke, and ACCORDING TO BUSH, Tenet "briefed * regularly."

the CIA DID NOT SCREW UP - they were warning the bushies for 8 months, constantly

BILL CLINTON DID NOT SCREW UP - he LISTENED to the FBI and CIA and ACTED on the information they provided, thwarting many terror attacks

It's so clear:

BUSH AND HIS CABAL SCREWED UP!!!! THEY *ALONE* ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11.

They were warned incessantly by the out-going Clinton administration and intelligence services within DC and around the world - they ignored them all. They dragged their feet. They downgraded terrorism and - SPECIFICALLY - OBL as a threat.

We need to challenge the "intelligence agency failure" mantra of the right wing. There was no intelligence failure in the intelligence agencies. Period.

The only failure of intelligence sprang from the WH. It was a willing, ideologically driven failure.

Case closed.

1. What they're really saying, in other words, is:
"Move along; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to see here!" :eyes:

B-)

2. Yep, not an intelligence agency failure
The intelligence was there. The failure was in the way the intelligence was administered. The * administration was, and is, a miserable failure.

Just look at the miserable failure of the use of intelligence on WMD. The way gas prices are going up, up, up. The way jobs are going down, down, down. This White house is a miserable failure all the way around!
