Will there be restrictions on questions to Condi?

This is the money question.

Will the panel be free to ask any question of Rice? Or will there be restrictions on the questions, as was the case when certain other administration witnesses were before the panel?

We weren't told there were restrictions. One of the panel members just happened to let it slip during a session.

I didn't see anything about restrictions, other than staying within the mandate of the panel.

Which is supposedly to find out how to prevent future terror attacks, not to place blame.

However, I think that as more and more comes out this just won't hold. People will begin to see that it is MUCH bigger than it first appeared and the commission's limitations will effectively be eliminated altogether.

With Rice, however, they might try to place some restrictions based on "national security." Some of this might fly, but I think she WILL have to answer the core question of whether or not the White House was aware that terrorists were planning to hijack planes and use them as missiles.

Condi doesn't answer questions she doesn't want to answer. She just says, "I'm not going to comment on that." My guess is that she'll pull out the same shite in the commission hearing.
