The latest is this "gas prices" BS.

The administration is the DREAM TEAM! Two gas executives as P and VP.

An entire House and Senate.

What are they not getting? The way they act all persecuted is just rediculous.

4. Clenis & liberals still exist
and, like the super-beings on Star Trek, can do any amount of mischief they wish. Only when these enemies are eliminated will the US become the paradise envisioned by the Repugs.

Or not.

5. Just like the fundamentalists. They're the "silent majority", and yet
they're also persecuted.

Don't bother. They don't even try to make sense.

6. Better question, honey:
WHY DO WE JUST STAND THERE AND NOT POINT THAT OUT???? Why, why, why can't Democrats ever get to the core of something and come back hard and in the face?? Maybe we are trying to prove that this really isn't the party of "intellectual elites"...and we've been doing a damn good job of it, too. Why are we just standing there?? We need fire belching out of Kerry's mouth and it just isn't coming and I'm not feeling very positive anymore.

7. It's true. Right-wingers are always fighting as if they're losing...
They blame the "liberal media," "godless public schools," "baby-killing legislators," "liberal terrorists" and the Clintons for all the world's ills.

They are in control of all three branches of government, and yet they still fight like cornered animals.

It may not seem like it, but this mind-set is a kind of discipline, and the right wing does close ranks and sticks together.

Democrats need to take a strong lesson from the right-wing playbook and present a unified, disciplined front, and they must develop a willingness to street-fight like their lives depended on it.

8. more than ridiculous...it's dangerous
I have a theory that republicans have a psychological disorder that puts them in constant "survival mode". They will never stop feeling like that, no matter how much power they have. And they will never stop seeking power and the destruction of their opponents.

It's a fucking nightmare for those of us who just want to be left alone.

11. it's all a ploy
They'll cry victim as they're victimizing the rest of the country.

They'll consider themselves victims until they've extinguished the very last spark from our democracy. It's just not *fair* to oppose fascism and corporatism any longer. After all, all they want is a return to serfdom, of unlimited cannon fodder, of a pirate society where looting and pillaging other countries is perfectly acceptable.

It's like how evangelical Christians always claim persecution, when they're the ones who want to dictate to the rest of us exactly how we'll live our lives.

12. Just thought the same thing when I read about the latest ad
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 01:54 PM by Woodstock
Despite the Republicans controlling all three branches of government for 3 years, one lone Senator whose party is out of power is responsible for everything that went wrong in those 3 years. The sad thing is, people will believe this. Sometimes I despise my fellow countrymen/women. I can excuse those who suffer from a basic lack of intelligence. But laziness I can't excuse, and that's the verdict for most of Bush's supporters.
