Don't put too much stock in the polling results now

because according to these previous elections, nothing is sealed in gold--especially, this early on.

Look at these polling trends:

2. it's still early

and he just got through with a tough primary. I have no doubt it will heat up very soon. Maybe he's just "pacing" himself now, 'cause it's still a long way till November.

Especially interesting how late in October 2000, bush had a sizeable lead over Gore. And Gore won, or should have.

So polls in early April, whether they cheer us or anger us, are far from the end result. We will keep fighting for every vote.
