CNN Lies about Letterman...
Last evening Letterman made fun of a kid that was bored to death at a Bush* speech in Florida. Dave ran some selected outtakes featuring the kid's various behaviors.

Today CNN ran the clips. After the clips, the morning host indicated that the White House said that the kid was edited into the clips. So Dave says, "the White House lied."

Later in the day CNN ran the clips again. This time they said that the kid was at the speech, but was not standing behind the pResident. So Dave said, "they lied again!"

Five minutes later, Dave gets a memo from CNN saying that the White House did not contact CNN about the clips.

Dave uses the item for comedy, but being a regular reader of DU, I know that the White House absolutely was involved in this little exchange. They must hire people just to monitor these networks.

2. what sane person would subject themselves to the ilks of CNN, MSNBC, fox?
ughhhh. please, do yourself a favor and turn the TV off. There's plenty of news on the internet, newspapers, etc. I quit trying to find decent information from the tube. It just doesn't exist.

3. Link TV can be pretty good, and Free Speech TV on Dish network
can also provide some incredibly good information.

11. But CNN has those hot ads for the "finishing touch" bikini-line trimmer!
But then sometimes I look up from the keyboard in anticipation and it's the "other" version of the ad with the dude carving a mullet from his nostril in tantalizing close-up. You're right...too much TV. There...it's off! :D

16. Hey, it's not Daryn Kagan's fault (btw, she is hot)

Maybe she slipped up on the wording personally, but more than likely she was simply telling what her editors put on the telepromter or they got from some WH yokel who screwed up getting CNN to air the desired phrasing. I wish she'd wear skimpier clothing, too (and I suspect she does too given how dreary she seems to regard the people she has to try to converse with and pointless the material she has to cover.)

No, Daryn doesn't actually care about these morons she works with and among and (supposedly) for. You can tell. She is probably perfectly fine with the sh-t thrown hitting the fan and splattering all over her employer and the WH, but not her. Probably would enjoy if it happened more often, really.

12. I saw it last nigh and that was real as can be.
I do video editing and I can tell you that was real, no editing. It was too clean. I can't wait to see Dave on tonight. First Stern, now Letterman.

14. "They must hire people just to monitor these networks"
They now work for the Department of Bushimage. It is fast becoming our #1 national priority to make George W. Bush look like a real President.

15. And they're probably on the taxpayers dime.
They need to do the people's business not the RNC's propaganda BS.
