I have found the reason Freepers fawn over Rush
Because he doesn't do what Al's doing: use facts to back up solid arguments that appeal to people that have half a brain and some common sense.

No, instead, Oxyboy shouts flippant rhetoric and argues with third-grade tactics. Reading? Research? These are words that do not exist in Limbaugh's vocabulary. But since the people who listen to him do not have to think, they become hooked because he confirms what these idiots think they know about the Democratic Party. The mere fact that Freepers find Al boring shows how uneducated and uncultured they are--they'd rather listen to whining and insults rather than the real story.

4. Rush has always been into this sex stuff. I get the thoughts that he is Gay
I just can not get it out of my head. I have run in to a lot of gays in the art world and I swear he is one. I never found them bad and they are easy to get along with but Rush is so odd about drugs and stuff it is odd for me to think this.

3. Or like Hedge-cock was going on and on about today...
I went to eat lunch and the show was starting, and he was going on about "listening to what is not being said," as far as the media. Then I left lunch, back in the car, and he's talking about some Kerry statement, and asking us to pay attention "to what's not being said." I don't really know what the hell he's talking about.

Hey, Smirk isn't saying "I will bring about the Apocalypse," so should we listen to that?

That's a neat trick - let's just point out what someone is NOT saying as if that means dick.

5. It's thinking like that that will
cost us the election in November. Conservatives can, and do, use facts to back up their positions. Yes, there are a lot of stupid, ignorant conservatives, but there are a lot of stupid, ignorant liberals also. But there are a lot of smart, intelligent, educated, and well-read ones out there, too.

It's not the facts that are lacking, on either side. It's not even the logic. Conservatives, in my opinion, tend to be more linear thinking than do liberals. They are excellent with logic.

No, the difference between the conservatives and liberals is in "what do these facts mean?" How they fit into the 'world-view' of each.

And, in addition to being intelligent, you could add, crafty, cunning, and ruthless. Or is Gore in the White House? I don't think we should underestimate the conservatives, no matter how good it makes us feel.
